Davies Group is a third-party administrator supporting major insurance carriers with claims, risk, and audit services. In North America, the business employs around 3,500 full-time staff and also works with roughly 2,000 independent contractors. Liz Mellor leads all Talent Acquisition for North America, overseeing recruiting across claims, risk, automation, IT, finance, and executive hiring.

Giving TA leaders visibility and control across hiring activity

The challenge

Leading Talent Acquisition for North America means balancing visibility, accountability, and candidate experience across a wide range of roles. Liz needed a clear way to understand what was happening across open roles and pipelines, without relying on manual trackers or constant follow-ups. Just as importantly, she wanted to ensure candidates didn’t sit untouched in the process due to delays outside of recruiting’s control.

The solution

Using Pinpoint’s Reporting feature, Liz built a set of automated reports sent to the business throughout the week that cover requisition status, open roles, and recent hires. 

Liz also used the Pinpoint Scorecards feature to focus in on how quickly candidates move through each stage, giving clear insight into pipeline progress and helping the team act faster when bottlenecks appeared

The challenge

The North America team hires across very different roles and seniority levels, from high-volume operational positions to confidential executive searches. Managing these different hiring motions typically requires separate tools or workarounds, making it harder to stay consistent and efficient.

The solution

For executive roles, Liz uses Pinpoint’s confidential features to run discreet searches and share direct application links, while recruiters can easily use the LinkedIn Recruiter integration to promote roles.

Creating a clean handoff from hiring into HR with ADP

The challenge

Once a candidate accepted an offer, the US team needed a clear and reliable way to hand off from recruiting to HR and payroll. Without a defined transition point, downstream teams risked relying on manual trackers or missing key information.

The solution

Pinpoint acts as the system of record for hiring until a candidate clears background checks. From there, the Pinpoint integration with ADP allows recruiters to pass the hire into Davies Group’s HR system, where HR takes over onboarding, payroll, and benefits. A daily new-hire report gives HR and payroll clear visibility into who has joined.

Once a candidate clears background, we hand off from Pinpoint into ADP, and HR takes it from there, which makes the transition really straightforward.
